Kalamunda Collective
The Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective is a not-for-profit Association. We are the custodian of the mountain bike trail network in Kalamunda and surrounding areas, and our main purpose is to encourage greater participation in the sport and develop the trail network.
We aim to provide a mountain biking community where all riders have an equal voice, opinions can be freely expressed and will be heard, and everyone can make a difference by working together to improve mountain biking facilities and activities.
The Kalamunda Collective Committee has some experienced faces and will be working closely with WAMBA and Perth Mountain Bike Club (PMBC).
Rock&Roll Mountain Biking
We are a family operated business based in Perth, Western Australia. We aim to provide an eco-friendly tourist and recreational mountain bike adventure based around the many approved trails in Western Australia. Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Biking allows you to experience the enjoyment and thrills of a true mountain biking adventure.
From a mountain bike skills clinic to a scenic outdoors tour of the bushlands of Western Australia, we can provide an all-in-one mountain biking experience in a safe and controlled situation. Your guides can show you the best trails, only known to the locals, or a fully equipped tour which allows you to experience the peace, beauty and serenity of Perth and its mighty wilderness.
Whether it’s your own bike or one of our top quality rental bikes and gear, we can customize a tour from an all day cross country epic to a technical trail ride. Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Biking has a commercial licence from the Department of Conservation and as a tourist operator we meet all of the current compliances and safety regulations.
Bicycles Network Australia
Australia’s Top Cycling Portal.
Bicycles.net.au is an initiative of Bicycles Network Australia and since 1999 has operated as a free, non-profit cycling online resource.
The website is a comprehensive online Australian Cycling directory and starting point for cycling related information. Australian shops, clubs, organisations, brands and cycling related bodies with a website are able to submit their details for free.
Transperth
Transperth welcomes bicycles on all of their trains and ferries because they recognise the contribution cyclists make towards a cleaner and healthier community and environment.
Walking and cycling provide many benefits for the community and the environment, as well as your health and wellbeing. They’re a great way to de-stress after a long day or to plan your day ahead. Walking or cycling to the Station just a few times a week will save you the hassle of finding a parking spot, save on petrol costs as well as helping your fitness levels and overall wellbeing.
Follow My Ride
I am not an elite cyclist, a fabulous navigator, a great photographer or a tech head. I do find myself “located between two known points” (you might use the word “lost”). I often over estimate my abilities and try to ride too far in a day. I am over weight, I get a sore back and am middle aged. I usually photograph and video using my phone. What I do have is:
- Plenty of experience (I bought my first MTB in 1985 and started riding around the Perth Hills then)
- Local knowledge (I have been exploring WA by bike and motorbike for 30 years)
- Map reading experience (20 years in the Army Reserve and 11 years with SES)
- Munda Biddi riding experience (I have documented over 60 days on the trail since 2004)
- I also like to record my rides in diary and data form, as well as take lots of photos and video.
By putting it all together I came up with this website. If I can ride the Munda Biddi, so can you.
Please keep in mind that I work on Follow My Ride in my spare time. This means I am unable to help with things like info on current diversions, up-to-date opening hours, transport timetables etc. I may also take a couple of days to respond to any emails, but I am sure you have not left your enquiry to the last minute!
