The Giant Stance 2026 in Black is a versatile full-suspension mountain bike built for riders ready to explore more demanding trails. Its new ALUXX aluminium frame combines 130mm of FlexPoint rear suspension with a 140mm dual-air fork, giving you smoother control over rocks, roots and uneven terrain. A dropper post, wide-range Shimano CUES drivetrain, four-piston hydraulic brakes and tubeless tyres complete a capable trail package.
The redesigned ALUXX-Grade aluminium frame uses shaped tubing and an integrated shock layout to create a strong, responsive chassis. Flush cable guides and frame protection help keep the bike quiet on rough trails, while convertible internal or external cable routing provides flexibility for servicing. A threaded bottom bracket and Universal Derailleur Hanger add practical touches to a frame designed for regular trail use.
Giant’s updated FlexPoint suspension delivers 130mm of active rear-wheel travel through a single-pivot design. The Crest FloTrac Elite TR rear shock is tuned to provide traction over uneven ground and support when pumping through corners or riding more demanding trail sections. Together, the frame and shock give the Stance a predictable feel that helps riders build confidence as their skills progress.
Up front, the Giant STL 34 fork offers 140mm of travel and a dual-air spring designed to balance sensitivity over smaller bumps with support on harder impacts. Its 15x110mm thru-axle helps maintain precise steering when the trail becomes rough. Giant’s Unified Suspension Setup guidance also makes it easier to find a suitable starting point for fork and shock settings based on rider weight.
A 65-degree head tube angle and increased stack height give the Stance a stable riding position for technical trails and descents. The short 40mm stem keeps steering responsive, while the Contact Switch AT dropper post lets you lower the saddle quickly for greater freedom of movement. Extra Small uses a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel; Small through Extra Large use 29-inch wheels front and rear.
The Shimano CUES 1×10 drivetrain keeps shifting straightforward, with an 11-48T cassette offering a useful spread of gears for climbs and faster sections of trail. A 30-tooth crankset pairs with the Shimano CUES U6000 Shadow+ rear derailleur for dependable chain control. Tektro Gemini M535 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled stopping power when descending or navigating changing trail conditions.
Giant AM30 tubeless-ready rims are paired with sealed-bearing Boost hubs and Maxxis Dissector 2.4-inch trail tyres. The bike is supplied tubeless prepared, helping riders take advantage of the traction and lower-pressure performance of its trail-focused tyre setup. Giant lists clearance for tyres up to 2.5 inches, providing room to choose a different tread to suit local conditions.
The Giant Stance 2026 is well suited to riders moving from a hardtail to their first full-suspension mountain bike, as well as riders wanting an approachable trail bike for regular off-road adventures. Its 130mm rear travel, 140mm fork, dropper post and capable braking offer more control on rough terrain while retaining a practical setup for climbing and everyday trail riding.
