The Liv Adore 16 2024 – Lunar is a lightweight aluminium kids bike designed to help young riders develop confidence with pedalling, steering and braking. Designed Specifically for Young Riders

The Adore 16 is designed around the proportions and abilities of a young child rather than simply being a smaller adult bicycle. Its low 407mm stand-over height makes it easier to stand comfortably over the frame, while the short 89mm cranks and narrow pedalling position help smaller legs turn the pedals efficiently. Giant Kids grips, a Liv Kids saddle and a protective stem pad further improve comfort and confidence.

Lightweight ALUXX Aluminium Frame

Liv uses an ALUXX-Grade aluminium frame to help keep the Adore light and manageable while a child learns to balance, steer and control the bike. Aluminium is lighter than the steel frames commonly fitted to basic children’s bicycles while remaining durable enough for regular family use. The rigid high-tensile steel fork provides dependable and predictable steering.

Front Handbrake and Rear Coaster Brake

The Adore 16 combines an adjustable-reach front handbrake with a rear coaster brake operated by pedalling backwards. This allows a developing rider to begin learning how to use a handlebar brake while retaining the familiar and straightforward operation of a coaster brake. The single-speed drivetrain has no gears or shifters to manage, allowing the child to concentrate on balance, steering and stopping.

Removable Training Wheels and Basket

Included training wheels provide additional support while a child becomes comfortable with pedalling and steering. They can be removed once the rider develops sufficient balance and confidence, allowing the same bike to support the transition to independent two-wheel riding. A matching front basket provides a practical place for carrying a favourite toy or other small belongings.

Stable 16-Inch Wheels and Wide Tyres

The Giant alloy 16-inch wheels are fitted with wide 16×2.25-inch tyres for useful grip and stability on footpaths, paved areas and other suitable riding surfaces. Nutted hubs securely fasten the wheels to the bike, while a sealed cartridge bottom bracket provides smooth operation and dependable durability with minimal maintenance.

The Liv Adore 16 is best suited to a young rider approximately 105-125cm tall who is learning to ride or progressing from a smaller 12-inch bicycle. It will commonly suit children around four to six years old, although height, inside-leg measurement and confidence are more reliable than age alone. Children approaching the upper end of the sizing range should also be assessed for a 20-inch bike to ensure they receive the most appropriate fit and useful lifespan.
