The Shimano BR-M6200 utilises a dual-piston hydraulic design that prioritises lightweight performance while delivering smooth braking modulation and dependable stopping power. It is an excellent choice for cross-country, trail and everyday mountain bike riding where control and efficiency are equally important.
The Shimano BR-M6200 has been developed around Shimano’s latest Low Viscosity Mineral Oil brake system. Combined with an updated piston seal and heat-resistant resin pistons, it delivers a more consistent lever feel, improved braking stability across a wide temperature range, and reliable performance in demanding riding conditions.
The two-piece caliper construction improves rigidity while helping deliver a solid braking feel under heavy braking loads. The result is greater rider confidence and improved control on technical terrain.
This caliper is supplied with genuine Shimano G05S-RX resin brake pads already installed. These pads provide quiet operation, excellent modulation and dependable stopping performance while remaining easy to replace when worn.
The Shimano BR-M6200 is compatible with both traditional Shimano rotors and the latest 2.2mm thick Shimano disc rotors, allowing riders to take advantage of improved heat capacity and braking consistency when paired with Shimano’s newest rotor range.
