The Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE 2027 in Copper Flow combines a composite frame, powerful pedal assistance and integrated electronic controls in a capable electric mountain bike. With a 120Nm SyncDrive Pro 4 motor, 840Wh battery, 150mm Maestro rear suspension and a 160mm fork, it is built for demanding climbs and confident trail descending.
The Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE features Giant’s 48V SyncDrive Pro 4 motor, delivering 120Nm of torque and up to 850W of peak power. Its force-sensitive response provides assistance from the first pressure on the pedals, helping riders get moving on steep terrain. The motor and Maestro suspension were developed together, combining strong support with suspension performance designed around the demands of electric mountain biking.
An EnergyPak Smart 840Wh battery gives the Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE substantial capacity for trail adventures. It is also compatible with the optional EnergyPak Plus 280 range extender, available separately. The supplied Giant Smart Charger X supports the 48V system, while a Torx 25 battery lock with a built-in torque limiter provides secure battery retention. Actual riding range varies with terrain, assistance level, rider weight and conditions.
The Advanced-grade composite frame features an Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker and 150mm of Maestro rear travel. A Giant Crest FloTrac TR rear shock with a three-position lever pairs with a 160mm Crest TR 36 Elite air fork. Together, they give the Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE a capable suspension platform for maintaining traction on rough climbs and managing rocks, roots and repeated trail impacts.
A 29-inch front wheel helps roll over obstacles, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel adds agility through tighter corners. The three-position flip chip lets you choose low, mid or high geometry settings to suit your terrain and preferences. With head angles ranging from 64.1 to 64.9 degrees, the Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE offers useful adjustment for balancing descending stability and ground clearance.
RideControl Ergo 5 wireless controls connect key functions through the Giant E+ System. A TRP electronic rear derailleur works with an 11-speed Shimano CUES LinkGlide 11–50T cassette, giving the Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE a wide gearing range. The frame-integrated RideControl Go Lux display keeps ride information accessible, while the electronic Contact Switch E dropper lets you adjust saddle height for climbing and descending.
TRP EVO Comp hydraulic brakes feature substantial 220mm front and 203mm rear rotors for controlled speed management on demanding descents. A Maxxis Assegai MaxxGrip front tyre and Minion DHR II MaxxTerra rear tyre provide a purposeful combination of cornering and braking traction. Both feature EXO+ protection, complementing the Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE’s trail-focused build.
Giant E-TRA alloy wheels combine 30mm internal-width rims with e-bike-optimised Sapim Laser spokes. The rear hub features a 72T helical-bevel ratchet driver, providing a robust connection between drivetrain and rear wheel. An included tyre pressure management system helps you monitor pressures, while the supplied tubeless kit includes sealant, valves and setup accessories.
The Giant Trance Advanced E+ SE suits riders wanting a powerful, full-suspension electric mountain bike for technical trails and substantial climbing.
