The Giant Faith 2027 in Obsidian Pulse is a full-suspension youth mountain bike built for young riders with growing trail ambitions. Featuring a lightweight aluminium frame, mixed wheel sizes, youth-tuned suspension and a dropper seatpost, it combines confident descending with efficient climbing for riders ready to explore more demanding terrain.
The Giant Faith pairs 135mm of FlexPoint rear suspension with a 140mm Crest SL FloTune Lite fork. Both ends are tuned to respond to lighter riders, helping the suspension move freely over rocks, roots and uneven ground. The Crest FloTrac Lite rear shock helps maintain traction and comfort, giving young riders a supportive platform as their speed, confidence and trail skills develop.
A 27.5-inch front wheel helps the Giant Faith roll over obstacles, while the smaller 26-inch rear wheel keeps handling agile through corners and tighter sections. This mixed wheel setup balances stability with manoeuvrability, making it a useful stepping stone for growing riders moving beyond smaller kids bikes. Giant TRA alloy rims feature a 30mm internal width and a tubeless-ready design.
The ALUXX SL-grade aluminium frame combines youth-specific proportions with capable trail geometry. A 64.5-degree head angle supports confident descending, while the 77-degree seat tube angle positions the rider for seated climbing. The Giant Faith also features a Boost 12x148mm rear thru-axle and Universal Derailleur Hanger, creating a practical foundation for regular mountain bike adventures.
The microSHIFT Advent X 1×10 drivetrain keeps shifting straightforward with one front chainring and a single gear shifter. A 30T chainring and 11–48T cassette provide a useful spread of gears for climbing and rolling trails. The Giant Faith uses shorter 155mm cranks to suit growing riders, with an included Giant 1x chain guide to help retain the chain on rough terrain.
Tektro HD-J2820 hydraulic disc brakes deliver controlled stopping with a 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear rotor. A Maxxis Minion DHF front tyre and Minion DHR II rear tyre provide a trail-focused combination for cornering, braking and loose surfaces. MaxxTerra compounds, EXO casing protection and tubeless-ready construction complete a tyre setup suited to the Giant Faith’s off-road purpose.
The Giant Switch AT Lite dropper seatpost provides 100mm of travel, allowing riders to lower the saddle for descents and raise it again for pedalling. A Giant Contact TR handlebar, short 40mm stem and Tactal Pro Lite grips give the Giant Faith a manageable cockpit. The Giant Romero saddle and included Giant Pinner Comp Lite flat pedals round out the trail-ready build.
The Giant Faith is designed for riders approximately 145–165cm tall who want a dedicated full-suspension mountain bike. It suits young trail riders progressing onto rougher tracks, steeper descents and longer off-road outings. Its mixed wheels and youth-tuned suspension make it a practical next step for riders who have outgrown a smaller trail bike but still need components and proportions suited to their size.
