The Giant Revolt Advanced SL 1 2027 – Tempest Purple is a premium carbon gravel race bike engineered for speed, efficiency and confident control over long and demanding events. Its Advanced SL composite frameset, aerodynamic race geometry, SRAM Force AXS E1 1×13 wireless drivetrain, integrated power meter and Giant CXR 0 carbon WheelSystem deliver elite-level performance for riders chasing every possible advantage.
The Revolt Advanced SL 1 brings Giant’s fastest and most focused gravel platform to serious racers and performance-driven riders. Reduced weight, refined aerodynamics, wider tyres and aggressive race-tuned geometry help the bike accelerate quickly, climb efficiently and carry speed over loose and unpredictable surfaces. It delivers much of the flagship SL 0’s performance with a carefully selected SRAM Force AXS drivetrain and Giant carbon WheelSystem.
The frame and fork are handcrafted using Giant’s highest-grade Advanced SL composite, with Continuous Fiber Technology increasing strength while minimising unnecessary material. The new frameset saves 176g compared with the previous-generation Revolt Advanced Pro, while the integrated cockpit, lighter WheelSystem and CADEX GXR 45mm tyres contribute to a total system weight saving of 288g. The result is faster acceleration, improved climbing efficiency and responsive handling without sacrificing stability on rough gravel.
AeroSystem tube shaping is applied across the frame, fork and integrated cockpit, with each profile optimised for real gravel race speeds of 30-45km/h. Combined with the Giant CXR 0 WheelSystem and CADEX tyres developed as part of the complete aerodynamic package, the new platform produces a claimed 18.99-watt reduction in total resistance compared with the previous Revolt Advanced Pro. Reduced drag over several hours can mean lower fatigue, higher sustainable speed and valuable time gained before the finish.
A lower stack, longer reach and steeper seat tube angle place the rider in a more forward and aerodynamic racing position. On a Medium frame, the Revolt Advanced SL uses a 557mm stack, 395mm reach, 74.5-degree seat tube angle and 1033mm wheelbase with short 433mm chainstays. This purposeful geometry creates precise cornering, stable descending and confident control at race pace while retaining the responsiveness needed to attack climbs and accelerate out of corners.
The SRAM Force AXS E1 wireless electronic drivetrain delivers fast and precise 13-speed shifting with the clean simplicity of a modern 1x system. A gravel-specific SRAM Force XG-1371-E1 10-46T cassette provides useful range for steep climbs, rolling gravel and high-speed race sections. The 42-tooth SRAM Force XPLR AXS crankset includes an integrated spindle power meter, allowing riders to accurately monitor training, pacing and race performance without needing an aftermarket upgrade.
The Giant CXR 0 WheelSystem uses 50mm-deep hookless carbon rims, aerodynamic bladed carbon spokes and low-friction hubs to deliver efficient power transfer and confident handling. A rapid 60-tooth rear ratchet provides responsive engagement when accelerating or attacking short climbs. Paired with CADEX GXR 700x45c tubeless tyres, the WheelSystem offers an effective balance of aerodynamic performance, low rolling resistance, grip and control across changing gravel conditions.
CADEX GXR 700x45c tubeless tyres combine a fast-rolling centre tread with reshaped shoulder knobs for confident grip through loose corners and variable terrain. Their streamlined casing is designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency when paired with the deep carbon rims while also reducing rolling resistance. With clearance for tyres up to 53mm, riders can adapt the Revolt Advanced SL 1 for rougher courses, greater comfort or additional traction when conditions demand it.
The one-piece Giant Contact SLR XR Integrated handlebar and stem weighs just 295g and combines an aerodynamic profile with fully concealed cable routing. Size-specific dimensions create an appropriate fit across the complete frame range, while ergonomic shaping supports efficient riding in multiple hand positions. At the rear, Giant’s Contact SLR XR D-Fuse composite seatpost helps absorb vibration and reduce fatigue, allowing riders to maintain comfort and consistent power throughout long gravel events.
The Revolt Advanced SL 1 is designed for serious gravel racers and endurance riders wanting premium race technology without stepping up to the flagship SL 0.
