The Liv Adore 12 2024 – White is a lightweight 12-inch kids bike designed to introduce young riders to the fun of cycling. Its aluminium frame, child-friendly proportions, simple coaster brake and removable training wheels create an approachable first pedal bike for children approximately 90-110cm tall.
The Adore 12 is designed specifically around the proportions and abilities of a young child rather than simply being a smaller adult bicycle. Its low 344mm stand-over height makes it easier to stand comfortably over the frame, while the short cranks and narrow pedalling position help smaller legs turn the pedals efficiently. Giant Easy Reach Kids grips, a Liv Kids saddle and a protective stem pad further improve comfort and confidence while learning.
Liv uses an ALUXX-Grade aluminium frame to help keep the Adore light and manageable as a child learns to balance, pedal and steer. Aluminium is lighter than the steel frames commonly used on basic children’s bicycles while remaining durable enough for regular family use. The rigid high-tensile steel fork provides simple, predictable steering without unnecessary complexity.
The single-speed drivetrain has no gears or shifters for a young rider to manage, allowing them to concentrate on developing balance, steering and pedalling skills. A short 70mm forged-alloy crankset is paired with a 26-tooth chainring and 16-tooth rear sprocket to create child-friendly gearing that is easy to understand and operate.
A rear coaster brake is activated by pedalling backwards, providing straightforward operation without requiring a small child to reach or squeeze a brake lever. This simple braking system helps keep the controls uncluttered while a new rider becomes familiar with stopping and controlling the bike.
Included training wheels provide additional support while a child becomes comfortable with pedalling and steering. They can be removed once the rider develops sufficient balance and confidence, allowing the same bike to support the transition to independent two-wheel riding. A matching front basket provides a practical place for carrying a favourite toy or other small belongings.
The Giant alloy 12-inch wheels are fitted with wide 12×2.25-inch tyres to provide useful grip and stability on footpaths, paved areas and other suitable riding surfaces. Nutted hubs securely fasten the wheels to the bike, while a sealed cartridge bottom bracket provides smooth and dependable operation with minimal maintenance.
